What We Do

Royal Blind School pupils at xmas show Royal Blind is Scotland's largest visual impairment charity. We care, educate and employ blind and partially sighted people from across the UK. We are a registered Scottish charity SC017167.

About Royal Blind

Royal Blind is a service provider and the funds that we raise are spent directly on caring for, educating and empowering visually impaired people. We support people of all ages - from babies and toddlers at our pre-school play group, children and young people at our school, after school club and young adults service to elderly people in our care home.

We run the Scottish Braille Press, which produces books and magazines in Braille and transcribes any document for individuals and businesses into Braille, Large Print or Audio format.

About Scottish War Blinded

Our sister charity is Scottish War Blinded. Scottish War Blinded supports veterans with a visual impairment from across Scotland through an outreach service and the Linburn Centre in West Lothian.

Expanding in the West of Scotland

Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded are building a new care home and day centre for visually impaired veterans in Paisley. Find out more about our Paisley project.
