Philosophy of Care

The philosophy of care of Braeside House is founded on the intention to provide the highest practicable standard of care based on the following principles:-

1. The Home’s environment will be of a welcoming and supportive nature, in which the residents may feel comfortable, relaxed and assured of concern for their welfare.
   
   
2. The staff will endeavour to help the residents to maintain their independence and enable them to achieve realistic goals.
   
   
3. The residents will be cared for in a dignified and respectful manner, by appropriately trained staff.
   
   
4. Care will be carried out to meet individualised needs; these will be reassessed as required.
   
   
5. The Home’s surroundings will allow for privacy and comfort, also if Health and Safety allow, will reflect the personal taste of the resident.
