The Financial year operates from 1 April to 31 March.
For 2009/2010 the Fees with effect from 1 April will be:
Nursing Care £825 per week
All fees are due and payable in advance.

Insurance
The RBAS has public liability and other insurances relevant to the provision of care.
However the personal possessions of the residents are not covered by the organisation’s insurance and any cover required must be arranged by the residents or their representative themselves. Valuables will not be stored by the Home.
Cash
Residents are requested not to have large amounts of cash in their possession, and the Home cannot take responsibility for such monies. A small cash float may be retained by the Home staff on behalf of a resident for incidental expenses with the agreement of the resident or their representative. Our insurance does not cover loss of cash.
Private or Social Work Department Funding
Currently when a resident’s capital falls to £19,000 an application may be made to the Social Work Dept of the local authority for assistance in meeting the Fees. At this level the resident may be asked to make some contribution towards the fees. If a resident’s capital reduces to £11,750 a contribution may not being required.
However this information is not comprehensive and residents or their representative should refer to the Department of Works and Pension guidelines and consult with the Social Work department of the local authority to determine eligibility.
