What we do
For each young adult we provide:
- Assessment of need and risk
- Support in identifying and meeting needs
- Referrals to other services such as adult health and therapy where required
- Links to other agencies where appropriate
- Information and support to access community facilities
- Support with daily living tasks such as: Menu planning; Cleaning; Gardening; Cooking meals/baking; Budgeting; Shopping for groceries/toiletries/clothing/household items; Banking and financial support; Planning for the week; Laundry
- Opportunities to enhance skills and interests already learned at school and home
- Opportunities to learn new life and work skills
- Opportunities to explore future options such as college, supported employment
- Support with making new and keep existing friends, relationships, mixing with peer group
- Support with exploring personal interests
- Promotion of confidence through supporting independence
- Promotion and enhancement of communication skills
- Promotion and practice of mobility skills
- Promotion of personal development and social skills
