Do you have a little time to spare to help raise funds for the blind, visually impaired or multiply disabled?

We provide services to improve the lives of blind, visually impaired or multiply disabled people and we need collectors from all over the UK (particularly Scotland) to come forward to help raise much needed funds via house to house collections.

Only a few hours of time is needed for house to house collection and Royal Blind will provide volunteers with all the necessary materials. Collection can take place at a time and date to suit individual commitments and as it takes place in your own area it is a great way to exercise and meet your neighbours at the same time.

Helen Forrest, marketing and fundraising manager for Royal Blind said: ‘We do have very dedicated house to house collectors in various parts of Scotland but over the years numbers have been declining.  We would really like to boost our collectors over 2007 as they make such an important contribution to the funds of the charity.  People might think that they only raise a small amount of money by collecting in their street but if you add these all together then it is a very significant contribution to our charity.’

If you are interested in becoming a house to house collector for Royal Blind then please telephone 0131 229 1456, email Helen Forrest or write to Helen Forrest, Fundraising Department, Royal Blind, PO Box 500, Gillespie Crescent, Edinburgh, EH10 4HZ quoting reference House to House Collectors..
