Pagan Osborne staff put £1500 on the menu for Royal Blind
Weekly 'dig-in and dig deep' lunches organised by staff at Edinburgh and Fife-based Pagan Osborne have helped raise £1,500 for Royal Blind. The lunches were prepared by different teams within the legal, financial and property firm and served up to the rest of the staff for a donation to Royal Blind's "Can We Build It" fundraising appeal.
The highly popular 'eat-ins' brought out the competitive spirit amongst the amateur chefs with menus ranging from lamb tagine and lemon meringue pie through to homemade soup and sandwiches.
Tracy Steele of Pagan Osborne's Edinburgh office said: "Organising the lunches was a simple idea that got everyone involved in the fundraising. It is a great way to bring everyone together in support of Royal Blind and we're delighted with the money raised."
The cheque for £1,500 was received by Helen Forrest, Marketing and Fundraising Manager for Royal Blind. She said: "We are very grateful to the staff of Pagan Osborne. They have really entered into the spirit of things, actively participating in a range of events and giving up their time and contributing financially to our new school fund."
Pagan Osborne is continuing to raise funds for Royal Blind and its next initiative is a staff raffle for prizes donated by the firm's clients and local businesses.
Sue Calder, partner and CSR Champion at Pagan Osborne congratulated the staff, saying: "The fundraising has been a staff-led initiative and everyone has taken Royal Blind to their hearts. As well as the 'dig-in and dig deep' lunches we have had bring and buy sales and of course the next big thing will be our raffle. We've organised visits to the school and Helen Forrest visited each of our offices giving presentations to our staff about Royal Blind and, in particular, the "Can We Build It" fundraising appeal.
“Seeing and hearing about this first hand has really inspired everyone to get on board with the fundraising and their efforts are to be congratulated."
