Royal Blind is a registered charity number SCO 17167, that provides services to blind, visually impaired or multiply disabled people.

Over our long history of service to the community we have seen many changes in:

  • the needs and expectations of those seeking our help
  • the range and development of our expertise and resources
  • our property, services and facilities.

Much remains the same however, including:

  • the commitment of staff and many dedicated volunteers
  • the generous support of the public, trusts and companies
  • our objectives frames by the founders long ago.

We are very privileged to have His Grace The Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry, K.T., V.R.D. as our president. His ancestor Henry, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch was one of the original founders of Royal Blind in 1793, beginning the association which has continued to the present day.
