Dining in the Dark

Dining in the Dark is a new event taking place in November 2012

Royal Blind is proud to announce a brand new event for 2012 - Dining in the Dark.  The event will take place in the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow on Friday 2nd November 2012.

Dining in the Dark will help close our annual Light Relief week, which will see hundreds of individuals, business' and community groups donate their extra hour to help and support the blind, through the Royal Blind charity for the blind.

Dining in the Dark will offer you a unique opportunity to discover some of the many unforseen difficulties encountered by blind and visually impaired people when sitting down for a meal or visiting a restaurant.  The evening will begin with a special drinks reception and entertainment before entering the Grand Ballroom for a superb three course culinary experience.  Once seated this will be your chance to dine in the dark by eating blindfolded, heightening new sensations and emotions. This is a fantastic experience, and a great way to help raise money to help and support the blind adults and children of the UK

If you are unable to wear a blindfold for the entire meal dont worry it is not complusory, all we ask is that you don't tell others what is on their plates as a full explanation of the menu will be given by our chef after dessert.

The evening will then conclude with a fabulous money cant buy auction and some very special entertainment........

Individual tickets for Dining in the Dark cost £89.99, with tables of 10 costing £850.00.

For more information and to book your place at this fantastic event please contact Ally Caulfield on 0131 229 1456 or email alisdair.caulfield@royalblind.org
