Walkers needed to raise funds for Royal Blind

Congratulations to Bill Rose, one
of our Braeside House residents, who reached the grand old age of
100 on 23 March 2007.
Pictured helping celebrate his 100th birthday is Lord Provost, Lesley Hinds who surprised Bill with a visit on his very special day.
Born and educated in Edinburgh, Bill married Elizabeth in 1934 and has two sons. Originally a builder by trade, Bill spent the war years as a member of the Home Guard and then joined the Edinburgh Cooperative Transport Service, rising to Chief Inspector of Buses prior to his retirement. An ardent Hearts supporter, Bill's hobbies have always been around football with his sons.
