Canaan Lane Campus
School Provision
The Canaan Lane Campus of the Royal Blind School is a
purpose built educational and residential facility for children
and young adults with Multiple Disabilities in addition to their
Visual Impairments – MDVI.
The facilities include:
- a purpose built school for MDVI up to 19 years of age
- 54 places for MDVI young people
- residential facilities in 6 purpose built houses
- a purpose built nursery for visually impaired children
3 - 5 years of age with places for 12 children with a
visual impairment
- an early years play group based at the Barrie nursery
- two hydrotherapy pools
- an assessment suite with a video studio and editing facility
- acces to our neighbours - St Peter’s Primary school
