War hero Ben Shaw laid a wreath on behalf of Scottish War Blinded at the 2009 Annual Remembrance Day Parade which took place at the Stone of Remembrance in Edinburgh on Sunday.

Ben was war blinded during an explosion in Basra when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb.

Across Scotland thousands of people paid their respects at Remembrance Sunday events for those who have lost their lives in war.  It has remained a special and emotional day since 1918 when major hostilities were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month with the German signing of the Armistice.
A two-minute silence was observed in workplaces and in public, held to mark the precise time.
This year greater emphasis has been placed on remembering the military personnel who have died in recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
