Scottish War Blinded was established in 1915 to care for Scotland’s service men and women who were blinded in the First World War. The Linburn Workshops opened during World War 2 to support young veterans who required training in vocational skills to help build an independent future living with a visual impairment. This was where Scottish War Blinded members first started to produce furniture, metalwork and crafts.

The new centre boasts an impressive workshop which many of our current members utilise in order to develop new craft skills, DIY skills, or to build on existing skills.

The items made in the workshops are all available to buy from the centre, for a small donation. All products are made at the Linburn Centre as part of a training process for our members. Therefore if you are interested in ordering a product,  please allow up to 8 weeks for completion.

If you would like to discuss an order in more detail, please get in touch. We can accept cash, cheque or cards as forms of payment.
