Dundee Re-union – 5 July

A re-union lunch will be hosted by the Convener, Mr Drew Lyburn, for all of our beneficiaries resident in the Dundee area. This will also be attended by James Munro, Secretary and Treasurer, Les Meikle, Superintendent and representatives of the Veterans Agency.


Summer Holidays: Workshop closure

The Linburn men go on holiday on Thursday 30 June and the workshops re-open on Tuesday 2 August. There will be a skeleton staff on duty during this period.


Annual Day Trip: Tuesday 28 June

A party of war blinded men, staff, and guests visited Stirling for their annual outing. The men chose Stirling as this eliminates a long coach journey and it offers many attractions – the castle and museum, the jail, coach tour and of course shopping – something for everyone.


Workshop Outing

Thursday 19 May

His Eminence Cardinal Keith Patrick O’Brien visited the workshops and spent a great deal of time speaking to each of the men. This was Cardinal O’Brien’s second visit to Linburn. His visit was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by everyone. A party from Linburn accepted an invitation from Cardinal O’Brien to visit his home and this too was a most enjoyable and informative visit.
