A new four legged friend was warmly welcomed to Braeside House recently.

A resident relaxes with visitors Jane and Sandy the dog.Sandy the greyhound is a registered therapet who dropped by for an hour or so with his owner Jane Jones.

A very pleasant afternoon was had with Jane and her calm and friendly canine. The residents really enjoyed their company, and Sandy was very happy to be the centre of attention and meet lots of new pals!

For some years now, it has been recognised that interaction with pets is good for us - the very act of stroking a dog can reduce blood pressure and slow down heartbeat. Therapet visitors like Sandy offer a great way for people in Braeside to regularly enjoy the benefits of a dog who has a suitably calm and sociable temperament.

The good news is Sandy and Jane are now set to become regular visitors.
