Residents of Braeside House took part in a tennis quiz today to mark the start of this summer's Wimbledon Championships.

The quiz was part of an afternoon of themed acitivities to celebrate the start of the Grand Slam.

Staff also played the Wimbledon theme-tune and read out facts about the annual tournament, including the fact that it began in 1877 - more than 50 years after Royal Blind's first residential home for older people was founded.

Residents also tucked into strawberries and cream to round the activities off and chatted about the most memorable games they witnessed.

Wimbledon is now in its fourth day and will run until 10 July.
