Congratulations to the Royal Blind School's swimmers who won an amazing four gold medals at the National VI Youth Swimming Gala in Solihull.

The Royal Blind School swimming team by the poolsideChristina Tytler, Harry Lovett and Myles Fleming were representing the school at the gala, organised by British Blind Sport, and they all performed brilliantly.

Reporting back live from the event, Christina told us: "I've had such a great trip down to the championships. I'm really happy with my performance in all three races, particularly back crawl."

Myles said: "I'm having a great day. Lots of swimming and I've won 2 golds for front crawl 25m and backcrawl 50m."

Harry, who kept us up to date with reports on Royal Blind's facebook page, told us "it is going brilliantly and thanks to the PE department. We are all very happy with the medals we got"

This was the fifth time the school have attended this event, and both staff and pupils were well looked after in residential accommodation at New College in Worcester before the gala.

Well done to everyone for being such fantastic ambassadors for the school!
