Connor triumphs in Mini Kilomathon fundraiser

A teenager with vision impairment has raised an amazing £600 for a Royal Blind School fundraising project by running a 2.62km circuit.

Connor and David smile to the camera Royal Blind School pupil Connor took part in the Mini Kilomathon at Murrayfield stadium on Sunday.

The 15-year-old took part in the race to raise money for the school's Courtyards Projects. The school wants to transform four courtyards into sensory outdoor play and learning zones.

Connor completed the race with the help of PE teacher, David Paclencia. 

The paid were tethered together, with Connor completeing the circuit in a fantastic 23 minutes and 57 seconds. 

Mr Palencia commented: "Connor did a brilliant job, we're all very proud of him."
