Pupils of the Royal Blind School hosted a barbecue for their friends in the Edinburgh Scooter Club.

So this year the pupils and staff invited the group back for a summer evening barbecue on the school campus.

Pupils enjoyed sitting on the scooters and beeping their horns after the crew revved into the car park.

And they tucked into a delicious food prepared by the Royal Blind School residential team.

The club last visited the school in March when around 40 members of the group took part in a ride from Dreghorn Services to the school. They also donated £100 to Royal Blind.

Roseanne Allison, Royal Blind Care Manager, said: “This is a tradition that has been going on for years now and the students absolutely love having the chance to get up close to the scooters.

“The guys are fantastic with the students and let them sit on the scooters and rev the engines which make a brilliant noise.
