Royal Blind School celebrates graduation of school leavers

It’s the end of term and after completing exams, taking part in work experience placements and their final sports day, seven students are celebrating their graduation from the Royal Blind School.

The students were bid a fond farewell by staff and their peers at a special leavers’ assembly attended by parents, carers, Royal Blind staff and pupils last week.

The event included musical performances, heartfelt speeches and gifts from students and staff.

Several of the young people will go on to join Royal Blind’s adult services, Forward Vision and Allermuir, some will return home and one student, Reece Watt, who recently completed a work experience placement with Royal Blind’s Marketing department, will go on to study business and ICT at college.
