Royal Blind School pupil, Harrison Lovett, took Silver in the British Open SN Judo Championships at Stoke Mandeville on 29 August.

Head Coach for the Special Olympics GB Judo Squad, Jo Imrie, was delighted with his efforts, commenting that Harrison's judo reflects all his hard work and training.Harrison Lovett with silver medal

Harrison travelled to Stoke Mandeville with the East of Scotland Team on 28 August, missing his sister’s 18th birthday celebrations, but had a wonderful time on site, sleeping in dormitories originally built for the Olympics and Paralympics.

Harrison works hard, training with both disabled and mainstream players. And that hard work is paying off as this is his second judo medal this summer having won silver at the Special Olympics in Macon, France earlier in June.
