This will be the fourth year for this extremely successful fundraising event which is the perfect setting for entertainment on a fun and very engaging level. Tables of ten cost £799 inclusive of VAT or £80pp. This year the event will be taking place on 19th May 2011 at the Sheraton Hotel, Edinburgh and sporting legends Saint and Greavsie will be providing the evening entertainment. Hosted by Scott Wilson, Try and Score will follow the same format as previous years. On arrival guests will enjoy a drinks reception while mixing with sporting legends from the worlds of rugby and football. This is followed with a four course gourmet meal with wine included. The sports quiz is read out by sporting legends and is delivered between courses. The evening completes with a raffle, the ‘money can’t buy’ auction and after dinner entertainment.

Try and Score has become a firm favourite with its mix of sporting fun, celebrities, great food, quiz and fantastic after dinner entertainers. Here’s what some of our guests had to say:

"All the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves whilst supporting a fantastic cause – one of the best dinners in the Edinburgh calendar" Martin Gill, PKF (UK) LLP

"A fantastic event with a lot of big name personalities present and superb on stage hosts who had some of my guests crying with laughter” Struan Douglas, Purdie and Co

Some of the sporting icons and celebrities who have previously attended this event include: Gavin Hastings, Scott Hastings, John Beattie, Gordon Smith, Walter Smith, Craig Levein, Steven Pressley, Steven Frail, Kenny Milne, Dan Parks, Alan Rough, Andy Nicol, Rowan Shepherd, George Burley, Jim Leishman, Terry Butcher, Stuart Dougal and many more. You can be assured that the line up this year will impress.

Royal Blind is really proud of the services it delivers to blind and disabled children but we never forget that this is only possible due to the time and generosity of others. All proceeds from this event will go towards lighting up lives of blind people in Scotland.
