Athlete Jack jumps to sporting glory

The Deeside Piper today reports that a Deeside youngster who attends the Royal Blind School has lived up to his name and brought back two gold and one silver medal from a recent athletics competition. Jack Jump, 18, from Banchory, won a silver for long jump at the Scottish Disability Sport Open Junior Athletics Championships at Grangemouth. He also won two gold medals for the 100-metre and 60-metre track events. The competition was open to all athletes of school age with a physical disability, sensory impairment and or learning disability. Read the full story here.
