German School Visit

The Royal Blind School were delighted to welcome 5 students and their teachers from Marburg in Germany on Wednesday 5th October, 2011.    Over a light lunch, the young people required no encouragement to begin chatting to each other and the din created by their conversation filled the room.

Meanwhile, the staff from each school introduced themselves and shared experiences and stories from the different schools and countries.

Our senior pupils provided a short demonstration of some the assistive technology that has enabled them to access the curriculum as well as providing a tour of the school for both students and staff.

This thoroughly enjoyable visit has created an opportunity to foster future links pupils and staff and schools.
