Royal Blind is proud to be hosting its third Community Pub Quiz at the Caledonian Brewery – what better way to improve a pub quiz than by cutting out the middle man and heading straight to the brewery!


Teams will put their knowledge and trivia skills to the test in an effort to become the Royal Blind quiz champions. Prizes will be awarded on the night for 1st and 2nd place quiz winners, as well as for the best team name (and even a special booby prize for the last place team). We will also be offering a fantastic raffle!


£25 for a team of 5 individuals (only £5 per member!)

Are you a sports fan who fancies the challenge of competing in “the toughest quiz in town?”

Well, start brushing up on your sports trivia because Try & Score 2013 is just around the corner! Try & Score is Royal Blind’s unique sports evening, where guests mingle with sporting celebrities over dinner while pitting wits in an epic quiz.


Launched in 2008, this event has grown into a highly anticipated evening of fun that consistently raises much-needed funds for Royal Blind’s services. Sporting legends who have previously attended this event include: Gavin Hastings, Scott Hastings, John Beattie, Gordon Smith, Walter Smith, Craig Levein, Steven Pressley, Steven Frail, Kenny Milne, Dan Parks, Alan Rough, Andy Nicol, Rowan Shepherd, George Burley, Jim Leishman, Terry Butcher, Stuart Dougal, among many others.

This year’s event promises to be a fantastic evening hosted once again by the brilliant Scott Wilson. The evening will also feature hilarious after-dinner entertainment from Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock and a unique charity sporting auction.

Forth Bridge Abseil Challenge!

Have you got a head for heights? This is your chance to experience the thrill of a bird’s-eye view of Edinburgh while also helping Royal Blind raise much-needed funds!

This challenge entails a 165ft free-fall abseil from the Forth (rail) Bridge down to the beach at South Queensferry. This event is open to anyone over the age of 16 and no previous experience is required! All abseil equipment will be provided and an instruction session will be given prior to your descent.

A £20 deposit* and agreement to raise a minimum sponsorship of £125 (or more, if you can) will secure a guaranteed place for this exhilarating event. These places are allocated strictly on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and only after you have completed the unique online registration form.
