Rabbie's Girls 2013 Provides Haggis and Laughs for the Ladies!

Posted: 12/02/2013 |

Rabbie’s Girls celebrated its third year in sumptuous style at the George Hotel, where over £8,000 was raised over the course of the evening!

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a chic champagne reception, complete with Loch Fyne oysters and music from our own Scottish piper, James McNicoll. The six-course taster menu indulged taste buds with luxurious smoked salmon, Crombies haggis cake, chocolate truffle tart, and an opulent Ian Mellis cheeseboard. Comedienne and host Karen Dunbar had everyone in stitches during her response to the Burns Toast and reading of ‘Tam o’ Shanter!’

The signature balloon raffle proved popular with the ladies, whose generosity again overflowed during the evening’s silent and main auctions. This year we were fortunate to receive an overwhelming number of donated prizes from local businesses including a cycling trip to Mull, a VIP tour of the Caledonian Brewery and a signed print by world famous artist, Jack Vettriano! As the clock chimed midnight, guests mingled over coffee and shortbread before heading home with goodie bags and prizes in tow.

We would like to extend an enormous thank you to the George Hotel, Majestic Wines, Crombies, Loch Fyne, IJ Mellis, Rogue Flowers, Silhouette Design, Paul Riley and our wonderful host, Karen Dunbar.

Rabbie’s Girls 2014 promises to be yet another fantastic event, please keep an eye on our website for upcoming details!
