Reasons Why You Should Run For Royal Blind!

Posted: 05/08/2013 |

Running for charity is a fantastic idea - it doesn’t require much of your time, you will raise vital funds for a great cause, and you can get healthy, all at the same time! Here are five reasons why you should run for Royal Blind:

1. Your efforts will make a real difference

Running and fundraising is a great way to support people with a visual impairment and other disabilities. Royal Blind supports people of all generations, and the invaluable funds you raise will support our wide range of vital services, so you really will make a difference to people's lives.

2. It's hugely motivating

Running a marathon, half marathon or a 10k race is a huge ask for most people, especially those who have never taken part before, but deciding to run for Royal Blind can provide huge motivation during the training period, helping you to stay in shape.

3. You get great support from Royal Blind

Our fundraising team will be on hand to support you each step of the way, providing running and nutrition tips and helping with any queries you might have before your run. You will also receive a fundraising pack and a Royal Blind t-shirt to model on the day!

4. Justgiving

One of the things that makes it really easy to run for Royal Blind is www.justgiving.com. This fantastic online donation website allows you to set up your own personal fundraising page where your friends, family and colleagues can donate. It's really easy to use and a great way to see the progress you are making with your fundraising.

5. It makes you feel good!

Don't underestimate the 'feel good' factor if you're raising funds for Royal Blind. Our supporters are proud to know they have supported our worthwhile services, and it’s well-known that the endorphins that come from exercising make you happy. So find your trainers and get involved!
