Royal Blind lends experience and support for Cyber Essentials Scheme

Posted: 13/11/2018 |

We are proud to announce that we are part of the Cyber Essentials scheme, lending our experience on cyber security to other organisations and charities.

Cyber Essentials is a Government backed scheme that helps organisations to protect themselves against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks. The scheme was announced following the Scottish Government’s 2018 publication of cyber resilience action plans for the private and third sectors.

In the video (below) Head of IT, Kevin Burns explains a little more on why cyber security is so important, particularly for organisations such as Royal Blind. Kevin also shares information on the recently launched Cyber Essentials Voucher Scheme. This scheme was introduced by Digital Scotland Business Excellence Partnership and offers £1,000 to help Scottish SMEs achieve certification to Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus.
