Run for Royal Blind in 2015

Posted: 05/01/2015 |

Royal Blind is encouraging Edinburgh residents to get fit while raising much needed funds for our services.

If your New Year’s resolution is to take up running then we have a free charity place available for Kilomathon Scotland, the Edinburgh Marathon Festival and the Scottish Half Marathon.

How do I sign up?

To book the charity place, and run for Royal Blind, register via our Affiliate Charity page on the website of your chosen event:

Where do the marathons take place?

Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.

When do they happen in 2015?

Sunday 29 March - Kilomathon Scotland goes along the Edinburgh cycle path network. Runners take in the historic Royal Yacht Britannia, picturesque Victoria Park and enjoy tranquil cycle paths before a fantastic finish in front of the West Stand at Murrayfield Stadium.

Saturday 30/Sunday 31 May - The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is Scotland’s largest running festival with over 30,000 runners expected to take part in 2015. Seven races are on offer over two days including the marathon, half marathon, team relay, 10k, 5k and junior races,  so there really is something for everyone.

Saturday 19 September - The Scottish Half Marathon is the newest event on the UK’s running calendar. Starting at 11.00am just outside Edinburgh, you run along the magnificent East Lothian Golf Coast before finishing in the final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse. The route is flat and rapid so if you want to set a personal best for a half marathon, then this is the event for you.

Do I get a Fundraising Kit?

All participants entering a marathon and running in support of Royal Blind will receive a pack that includes a Royal Blind running vest, water bottle and sponsor form.
