Authors Christopher Brookmyre and Alex Gray will consider the process of creating a character for fiction in a panel discussion chaired by journalist turned bestselling crime writer Craig Robertson.

Guests will then be treated to a scrumptious afternoon tea with a glass of fizz.

Brookmyre and Gray are both offering guests a chance to have a character named after them in a future novel as prizes for the luxury auction.

Other prizes include a cake decorating masterclass from 3D Cakes and a pamper package including massage, salon treatment and chocolate hamper.

Guests can also enter the raffle to be in with a chance of winning prizes including family passes to Scottish visitor attractions, Nak’d Bar gift box and Pukka Tea gift sets.

Natalie Reid, Royal Blind’s Fundraiser and Supporter Development Officer, said: “We are very excited about this event which should be a unique experience and a real treat for crime fiction fans.

“We are holding the Afternoon Tea to raise money for our vital services which support blind and partially sighted adults across Scotland.”
