Armed Forces Day 2014

Posted: 20/06/2014 | Scottish War Blinded

Scottish War Blinded will exhibit at Armed Forces Day 2014 events across Scotland in June and July.

Armed Forces Day is an opportunity for the public to show support and gratitude towards serving personnel and veterans of the Armed Forces through parades, flag raising ceremonies and military displays.

Scottish War Blinded will exhibit WWI commemorative art and wooden craftwork, produced by members at the Linburn Centre, in reference to this year’s commemorations and the provision of workshop skills taught to blinded soldiers following the charity’s foundation in 1915.

Exhibits will be attended by Scottish War Blinded staff and members who can provide information about Scottish War Blinded services.
