Guide visually impaired veterans to us at SECC Independent Living Scotland event in October

Scottish War Blinded (Stand C12) will exhibit at the Independent Living Scotland event on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October 2015.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the Linburn Centre and Outreach services Scottish War Blinded provides to visually impaired veterans across Scotland as well as try out specialist low vision equipment which supports independent living.

A Scottish War Blinded member at the Linburn CentreScottish War Blinded provides free support to veterans of the armed forces who have a visual impairment sustained either in conflict or subsequently to their service. We support ex-service men and women who have served in the Armed Forces, including Reserves, Queen Alexandra Nursing Corps and National Service.

About the event:

Independent Living Scotland aims to offer advice, support and information for individuals living with disability or a long-term condition, and providing learning, product knowledge and networking opportunities for healthcare professionals in Scotland.

Independent Living Scotland, which will take place in Hall 3 of Glasgow's SECC on the 7th and 8th October, will bring together people with disabilities, their families and carers along with healthcare professionals to test and compare the latest products on the market, network and gain advice on what is new and identify which product is best suited for each individual need.
