Holiday cottage for Scottish War Blinded members set to open in June

A cottage within the grounds of Scottish War Blinded's Linburn Centre is set to become the most vision impairment-friendly holiday home in the UK. 

The Gardener's Cottage will be available to let for breaks for Scottish War Blinded members and their families in late Spring.

A fully accessible three bedroom house in a peaceful semi-rural setting, it will be a wonderful location for a relaxing holiday, close to the buzz of Edinburgh and near to shopping hubs. Furnished and equipped to a high standard it will offer a luxurious self-catering experience in the beautiful surrounds of the Linburn Estate.

With all the accommodation on one level, the cottage has been renovated to offer easy access for visitors who are less mobile. Members will be able to relax in the secure garden, which suits a guide dog, or explore the extensive grounds of the estate and beyond.

Staying at the cottage will enable members to access the social activities and facilities at the Linburn Centre, with sports such as archery and shooting, arts, I.T rehabilitation. They will be eligible for to eat lunch for free at the centre during their stay.
