Scottish War Blinded is looking for members to come forward to participate in the charity’s 2016 bowling tour. The tour will visit bowling clubs from Inverness to the Scottish Borders throughout the spring and summer months of 2016.

The tour matches are being organised following Scottish War Blinded’s highly successful centenary bowling tour in 2015 which involved over 25 members taking part in matches versus visually impaired and sighted bowlers across Scotland.

“The tour was a great experience and it was an honour to walk in the footsteps of past members who have represented Scottish War Blinded. The Centenary tour visited bowling clubs from Aberdeen to the Scottish borders and we received a warm welcome and generous hospitality wherever we played. Bowling provides so many members an opportunity to get out of the house, meet new people and forge friendships.”

Scottish War Blinded welcomes members of all ages and abilities for this tour, from novices to experienced competitors. Equipment, including bowling bowls and shoes, can be arranged upon request.

The matches this year will take place in Inverness, Dundee, Perth, Paisley, Glasgow and Melrose.Tour dates and venues will be announced in April. If you would like to participate and reside in the aforementioned locations, or can travel, please contact Gary Seath on 0131 229 1456.
