Scottish War Blinded members will have the opportunity to participate in a choir taster session on Friday 31 October 2014.

Working in partnership with West Lothian Arts Council, it is hoped the project will lead to the formation of a permanent Scottish War Blinded choir in 2015.

Scottish War Blinded Choir ProjectThe taster session is part of Scottish Wart Blinded’s 2014 World War One commemorative activities and members will include a performance of popular songs from the period.

West Lothian Community Arts Officer Len McCaffer said:

“West Lothian Council Community Arts are delighted to be working with Scottish War Blinded on this innovative singing project designed for partially sighted.  We are hoping that this will develop into a strong partnership with regular sessions and performances in the future.”

Gary Seath from Scottish War Blinded commented:

“We are delighted to provide an opportunity for members to express themselves through the creative arts in partnership with West Lothian Arts Council. Several members have mentioned a keen desire to participate in a choir and I am confident the project will go from strength to strength.”
