Ten teams from across Scotland participated in the Scottish Association for Blind Bowling Championships on Saturday 8 March at Abbeyview Bowling Club, Dunfermline.

The event was organised by Scottish War Blinded member Ian Graham who has recently taken up his new position as Match Secretary for the Scottish Association for Blind Bowling.

Among the participants were several Scottish War Blinded members representing Aberdeenshire, Glasgow, Abbeyview and Kirkcaldy.

The teams competed in a round-robin format, within two highly competitive leagues, leading to a final between Three Towns and Kirkcaldy.

Three Towns won convincingly in the final 9-3 following an impressive all-round team performance.

Scottish War Blinded members produced special trophies for the event incorporating a stylish tactile bowling ball motif appreciated by all who attended.

Scottish War Blinded representatives Gary Seath and Carole Martin were presented with a Scottish Association for Blind Bowling pennant and badge in appreciation who presented the trophies to the winners and runners up.

We congratulate all those who took part and look forward to next year’s event.
