The Kidscene Holiday Club has a special Christmas opening – 20 December 2013!

If you live in the Edinburgh area, you will know that local schools finish on Thursday 19 December.

Are you stuck for child care on Friday 20 December? Whether you are still at work, will be enjoying a Christmas lunch with your colleagues, or simply need some time off to do your Christmas shopping, Kidscene is open for one day only for Christmas fun! All you have to do is bring a packed lunch and your child will have lots of fun from 8.30am – 4.30pm.

Elderflowers Visit Braeside House

Elderflowers Visit Braeside House

Residents at Braeside House are being entertained on a fortnightly basis by two jolly characters this autumn – Blossom Elderflower and Honeybunch. Wearing red noses and brightly coloured clothes, Blossom and Honeybunch use a combination of improvisation, puppetry, music and plenty of humour.

But they are not only there to make the residents laugh.

This week we would like to say a huge thank you to our brave team of fundraisers from the Edinburgh office of Consulting Engineers firm Harley Haddow, who took on the challenge of the Edinburgh Night Ride.

Edinburgh Night Ride

The Night Ride is a 50 mile cycle throughout the streets of Edinburgh during the night, taking in the iconic sites of the capital such as the Royal Mile, the Castle and the Scott Monument, with stunning night views of the city.

Next February 2014 sees the launch of our first ever Royal Blind Week and we have a wide range of exciting activities in store to raise awareness, support and funds for the vital services we provide.

In conjunction with Royal Blind Week we are running a special raffle with a range of top prizes, and you can start buying tickets now.
