An inspiring afternoon of conversation and performance took place at the Royal Blind School this month. The "Music Unlimited" event was the finale of a student-led enquiry into music-making opportunities, with pupils from Royal Blind School and James Gillespie's High School coming together creatively.

Royal Blind School pupils meet Scottish War Blinded members

A Royal Blind School pupils investigates Braille woodwork at the Linburn Centre

As part of their project on Remembrance, pupils from the Royal Blind School followed up their visit to the Lady Haig Poppy Factory (read more here) with a visit to Scottish War Blinded's Linburn Centre. The West Lothian-based centre offers a wide range of activities, social outings, rehabilitation and independent living skills to visually impaired veterans. Here is teacher Ms Young's account of the day.
