How Regular Giving Helps

Royal Blind School pupil with British flags behind herThe most effective way to donate to Royal Blind is through a regular monthly donation. Monthly donations enable us to plan ahead and ensure funds are available when they are needed the most. Regular donations give us a consistent income that we can pedict, giving us the security and confidence to fund essential services for blind and visually impaired people of all ages.

Longer term donations are also more cost effective for the charity. There are:

  • Less administrative and bank charges
  • Saves on the cost of marketing to attract new donors.

This enables more of your funds to be spent supporting Royal Blind's services.

Using external agencies to fundraise on our behalf

At times we use external agencies to fundraise on our behalf. This can include door-to-door, street or telephone fundraising campaigns. We use professional agencies as they are a cost effective way to attract a diverse range of supporters who we are unable to reach in other ways.

Agencies help us to encourage donors to give a committed gift, which helps us with our long term planning. Face-to-face or telephone fundraising enables potential donors to talk directly to a fundraising representative and ask questions about the charity and how their donation will be spent.

All the agencies we use employ teams of supervised fundraisers that have been trained by Royal Blind staff.

If you have any questions about how we fundraise email the Marketing and Fundraising Manager.

We are members of the Fundraising Standards Board and follow the Institute of Fundraising's Code of Fundraising Practice. Please refer to our Complaints Policy if you believe we have fallen short of the high standards we aim to deliver.
