Royal Blind statement in response to media reports about RNIB

Text says Royal Blind statement

Royal Blind is saddened in relation to recent media reports about an inquiry into abuse at RNIB care services in Coventry.

We wish to clarify however that we are a completely separate organisation to the RNIB. Royal Blind is Scotland’s largest visual impairment charity. We provide services in Scotland only. Our care services are consistently graded Good and Very Good by the Care Inspectorate.

Royal Blind School pupil takes on Kilomathon race

A teenager with vision impairment is preparing to take on a Kilomathon event to help raise money for his school.

Royal Blind School pupil Connor Simpson, aged 15, will take on the race at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Sunday (8 April) with the help of his PE teacher.

Closures

The Royal Blind School, Kidscene and our Scottish War Blinded centres remain closed for the rest of this week. Royal Blind's head office is also closed and staff are working from home. 

The Scottish War Blinded Linburn Centre will also be closed on Monday 5 March.
