‘Let Me Play’ is a film which has been produced by the Royal Blind School in partnership with RNIB Scotland and the Scottish Sensory Centre.
The 40 minute film aims to support parents of children aged five and under who are blind or partially sighted, offering additional support and guidance on how to stimulate and nurture through play.
The DVD is also being promoted among specialist teachers across Scotland, who will be encouraged to use it as a training tool to strengthen engagement between home and school.
‘Let Me Play’ is available to all families of children aged five and under living with sight loss in Scotland. The DVD, which was filmed in family homes and at a nursery, includes narration, audio description and sign language.
