Royal Blind is looking to appoint a newly created and critical role of Head of Learning. This role will be focused on enriching education and care provision in all education sectors in Scotland and beyond, enabling the fullest possible inclusion of visually impaired learners. Responsible for the strategic development and ongoing operational success of Royal Blind’s current suite of learning and educational service provision, encompassing both the Royal Blind School and the expanding outreach service provision, the new Head of Learning will ensure all planning and delivery is child-centred.

At the Royal Blind School, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed teacher for our expanding outreach service.  This is an exciting role where you will support the learning and development of children and young people with a Visual Impairment within local authority schools.


We are proud to be a leading provider of specialist learning and education services for children and young people with a Visual Impairment. By managing a peripatetic and evolving caseload of pupils, this role will be key to ensuring we can provide these specialist services to a wider reach of children by supporting schools to teach learners with a Visual Impairment.
