You are invited to afternoon tea with some of Scotland’s best-loved crime writers

Our guest authors will discuss the fascinating process of creating a character for Award winning author Christopher Brookmyrefiction, and two of our talented pupils from the Royal Blind School will give readings from their own creative writing. Guests will be treated to a glass of bubbles on arrival, followed by a luxurious afternoon tea.

About Christopher Brookmyre

Christopher Brookmyre is the author of 18 crime novels and penned the famous series featuring reporter Jack Parlabane. He has won numerous awards for writing, including:

About Alex Gray 

Alex Gray has been awarded the Scottish Association of Writers’ Constable and Pitlochry trophies. She is the co-founder of Bloody Scotland, an international Scottish crime writing festival. Alex has worked with Royal Blind's Scottish Braille Press to publish her books into Braille on the same day as they are published in print. 

All profits from the event go towards funding Royal Blind's services.
