Take a look at our run down of some of Scotland's best challenge events - the perfect way to get fit and fundraise! 

There are a range of running, walking and cycle events taking place across the country- why not sign up and fundraise for Royal Blind. Here's our pick of the bunch:

Cycling

  • Pedal for Scotland is one of Scotland's most popuar cycling events, and offers acyclists on country road range of courses to suit all abilities- from 5 miles all the way up to 112 miles! The Glasgow to Edinburgh challenge takes place in September. 

  • Five Ferries Cycle Tour - A great way to see the stunning sites of the beautiful islands of Arran and Bute as well as the Cowal and Kintyre peninsulas. Bike transport is free on Calmac Ferries, and tickets are valid up to three days, so you can take it easy or set yourself a one-day challenge! 

Running

  • Tweed Valley Tunnel Trail Run - A run with a difference. Suitable for all abilities, this event combines gorgeous natural scenery with modern twist- a section of the run takes place under a neon-lit tunnel. Takes place in Peebles on 10 October 2020.

 

Obstacle courses

  • Spartan Race - Not for the feint hearted! A real challenge for those that don't mind getting very, very muddy. The race is available in three levels of ability and takes place in South Queensferry on September 19 2020.
