Royal Blind is delighted to announce comedienne and writer Jo Caulfield, star of Radio and TV shows including ‘Mock The Week’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’, as the host of its extremely popular Burns Night for ladies ‘Rabbie’s Girls’.

This unique event, one of the highlights of Edinburgh’s social calendar, is returning for its fourth year and taking place at the Balmoral Hotel on Friday 31st January 2014.

In traditional Burns Night style, there will be speeches celebrating the poetry of Robert Burns (with a special feminine twist), a traditional Piper , and a feast of scottish fayre. Guests will also be treated to a glamorous champagne drinks reception accompanied by Loch Fyne oysters, before enjoying a sumptuous 4-course meal with complimentary wine, and spoiled with a fabulous goody bag.  They will then be invited to take part in a special balloon raffle where everyone is a winner!

Jo, who is based in Edinburgh, said:

"Rabbie's Girls is the ideal combination: guilt free fun. You are supporting a wonderful charity that improves people's lives daily AND having a glamorous night out with fantastic food and drink!  I can't wait to do a Burn's Supper with just women, it will be SO much fun.”

“We are delighted to have Jo on board for this special event. The money raised at Rabbie’s Girls will fund the vital services Royal Blind provides for Edinburgh’s iconic Royal Blind School, Forward Vision, Braeside House, Scottish Braille Press and Kidscene – supporting people of all ages with a visual impairment and disabilities.
