Tribute to Scottish War Blinded and Royal Blind supporter and friend Captain David Seath

Press Release | 25/04/2016

We at Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded are deeply saddened by the loss of Captain David Seath who passed away yesterday after participating in the London Marathon.

Captain Seath was the brother of our colleague Gary. He visited Scottish War Blinded members on several occasions and was a great friend and supporter of the charity.

Most recently he gave a presentation at Scottish War Blinded’s Linburn Centre in Wilkieston, West Lothian on the history of commando forces.

Captain Seath spoke with Scottish War Blinded members who relished the opportunity to engage with such a warm and knowledgeable member of the serving personnel of the British Armed Forces. He will be greatly missed.

Captain Seath's friends are raising money for Help for Heroes in his memory. If you would like to contribute, visit their Just Giving page.

Our thoughts are with Gary, the rest of David’s family and his partner, Gaby.
