Scottish War Blinded members to represent Scotland in International bowling tournament in Israel

Two Scottish War Blinded members will represent Scotland having made the team to play at the International Blind Bowling Test Series in Israel in May 2016.

Matches will be played in a quadram championship involving Scotland, Israel, South Africa and England at the Ramat Gan and Raanan bowling greens. The series will involve visually impaired bowlers across all four categories, from B1 to B4.

Limited Edition Scottish War Blinded Book Available Now

As Scottish War Blinded concludes its centenary celebrations in 2015, the charity has released a free, limited edition short book about its history.

The book, titled ‘A Celebration of Scottish War Blinded’s First Hundred Years’, draws on archive images and material, mostly from Annual Reports as well as quotes from members past and present, to guide the reader through its highly emotive story.

Scottish War Blinded’s Centenary Hall was officially opened by the charity’s president, His Grace, The Duke of Buccleuch on Thursday 10 December 2015.

The Centenary Hall will provide members with an impressive, state-of-the-art gymnasium, physiotherapy space and a wonderful arena for sports and recreation for many years to come.

The West Lothian Young Carers Project is a service provided by the voluntary organisation Carers of West Lothian in Livingston. The service supports young people, aged 8-18, provide care and support for a loved one.
