Young Carers say Thank-You to Scottish War Blinded Members

In February 2015, Scottish War Blinded members presented West Lothian Young Carers Group with computer equipment to assist young carers access technology for school work and leisure.

The laptops and tablets were collected by Scottish war Blinded members who gained IT skills at the Linburn Centre as a means to repair and clean the equipment ready for use by young carers across West Lothian.

Our latest  ‘A Century of Expanding Horizons’ article looks back on the visit King George V made to Scottish War Blinded's Newington House on 8 July 1920.

Newington House was acquired by Scottish War Blinded in 1916 providing accommodation, rehabilitation and vocational skills training to soldiers returning to Scotland from World War One with life changing visual impairments.

Scottish War Blinded Members Compete at 2015 Scottish Association of Blind Bowlers Championships

Scottish War Blinded members competed at the Scottish Association of Blind Bowlers Championships at Abbeyview Bowling Club on Saturday 14 March 2015.

Established in 1963, the Scottish Association for Blind Bowlers is a network of 12 member clubs across Scotland providing regular matches and social opportunities for visually impaired people.
