Rosie McLaughlin, Practice Lead

Rosie McLaughlin Rosie is a qualified social worker and has worked in the field of sensory loss for nearly 30 years with local authorities around the country. She has undertaken training with Guide Dogs for the Blind where she increased her knowledge and skills of working with people with sight loss.

Rosie joined Scottish War Blinded at a time of great change and has played a key role in the development of the service.  She worked on the establishment of the Linburn Centre and then the outreach service in response to the changing needs of our members. When the outreach service expanded, she moved over to run this full time.

Rosie is passionate about increasing the independence and quality of life for people with sight loss. 

Rosie works with an outreach team across Scotland that supports members in their homes and local communities.
