Rehabilitation Officers

Scottish War Blinded is expanding its specialist Rehabilitation Team and is looking for two qualified Rehabilitation Officers to join the team.


Our Outreach Service supports those who have served in the Armed Forces and now have a sight impairment that is having an impact on their daily life and independence. Based at home, you will visit members across Scotland to provide low vision assessments, mobility training and support with independent living skills in their own homes and communities.



Centre Officer

Would you like to join an exciting and unique service for Armed Forces veterans with a vision impairment?


Our Linburn Centre, located in West Lothian, is an activity hub to support the independence of armed forces veterans with sight loss. We are looking for a Centre Officer who will enable members to maximise the benefit and enjoyment they gain from attending the Centre. They will be a key member of the staff team, assessing the needs of our members and developing ways to support their independence.



Learning and Development Manager (Maternity Cover)

Scottish War Blinded, Royal Blind, Salary: £31,291 - £36,645, Position: Full Time, Closing Date: 29/04/2019, Location: Royal Blind, 50 Gillespie Crescent, Edinburgh EH10 4JB

We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to lead the development and delivery of quality learning and organisational development opportunities, ensuring best practice and consistency across Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded.


The following areas will be prioritised during the maternity cover period:

  • Coordinating the Senior Leadership Development Programme
  • Design and deployment of e-learning resources in our newly acquired e-learning platform, LearnPro Community
  • Continuing implementation of the revised Induction Programme, including the welcome pack and induction workbooks
  • In-house course design and delivery
  • Working in partnership with internal and external training providers
  • Supporting the delivery of 2019 training calendar, establishing our 2010 training calendar
  • Supporting organisational development project work, including establishment of organisational competency framework.
