Trusts and Foundations

Pupil at Royal Blind School preparing for xmas show We work with many different Charitable Trusts and Foundations. Their support contributes to the daily running of our services for blind people, to developing specific projects, or to purchasing vital equipment that improves the health and well-being of the people we support.

We are immensely grateful to all our funders for their ongoing generosity.

Thank you.

What an unrestricted donation could pay for:

  • Policy and campaigning work for the rights of people who are blind or have additional support needs
  • A nurse's salary to care for people in our care homes
  • Vital specialist equipment in all services
  • Developing new content for our Learning Hub service, supporting education professionals in mainstream education who work with people who are blind
  • Care worker's salary to support our 24 hour independent living service

Projects we are currently seeking funding for:

  • Music therapy sessions at the Royal Blind School
  • Installation of Rempods (reminiscence installations to help people with Dementia) at Braeside House care home for older people
  • An Innowalk Pro to enable pupils at the Royal Blind School, and residents at Forward Vision, who use wheelchairs to simulate walking and standing
  • Engagement weekends for parents of young people who are blind to receive support and training on how to improve daily life for their children and themselves

We would like to hear from you
